Sarah is an enthusiastic and passionate thought leader on all subjects that involve and revolve around youth and society. Her views tend to be controversial and based in real practical application. From her experience as a police officer in London to her controversial work with open family parenting, Sarah has an opinion about most things and is not afraid to speak up for what she thinks is right. Sarah Newton, Your Gen-Y Guide, is here to de-mystify the world of the next generation. Having spent the last 14 years immersed in the culture of the millennials, Sarah helps parents, schools and companies connect,engage and motivate young people in a way that gets long lasting results.

Sarah is best known for her 8-part, ITV2 series, ‘My Teen’s a nightmare – I’m moving out’. Sarah has been fink-0788seen by 1 in 4 UK television viewers and has appeared on most of the major channels as a family, parent and teen coach. Sarah regularly comments in the media on such subjects as school success to teen abortions and all that lies in-between. An ex-police officer, Sarah knows the lengths some young people can and do go to. Sarah helps adults connect, engage and motivate modern day youth.
Sarah has appeared on over 13 TV channels including BBC 1, BB2, BBC3, ITV1, ITV2 and Channel 5 and has hosted two TV series in her career. Her radio experience is extensive and she has been heard on over 60 different radio stations, giving her expert opinion. Sarah’s magazine and newspaper coverage is extensive, with Sarah appearing regularly in all broadsheets and magazines. She has had full page features on her work in the Independent, the Times, the Sunday Express, the Mirror and the Telegraph. She has supported three campaigns to date, the BBC Talking Teenagers campaign, the Please Call Me campaign and the Nu-M8 campaign.

Her first book, “Help! My Teenager is an Alien – the everyday situation guide for parents” was launched in March 2007 . Sarah is currently working on her second book which is set to rebuke most of the modern day myths we have about children and youth.
